Dymax 18″ and 21″ HPX Tree Shears For Hydraulic Excavators:
A Dymax Excavator Tree Shear is the perfect tool for forest utility work, hazardous fuel removal such as dead undergrowth or diseased trees from forest lands, plantation thinning of acacia and eucalyptus, biomass fuels production and trimming limbs and trees for roadside maintenance and site development or alongside railroad tracks. In plantation thinning operations of Acacia and Eucalyptus a Dymax Excavator Tree Shear can average between 100 to 180 trees per hour cutting rates and produce more volume of wood than competing models. Cutting rates are subject to tree spacing and operator skill..
The Dymax HPX Hi Performance Excavator Tree Shear features two-shear arms with replaceable high strength, abrasion-resistant steel cutting knives. The dual shear arm design delivers strong performance in tough applications such as hardwood shearing compared to single shear arm models that are prone to twisting and bending.
All Dymax HPX Hi Performance Excavator Tree Shears features dual grapple arms that secure the tree prior to shearing. An optional 60 or 180 degree hydraulic rotator provides efficient positioning for side trimming along roadways and improves operators ability to load chippers in congested worksites.

Features:
- Bolt on, replaceable AR400 cutting knives yield up to 1,000 hours of performance and are easily sharpened when worn. All cutting knives are adjustable.
- Heavy duty cylinder rams with guarded lines. All shear knife cylinder rams are rated 4,000 psi.
- Two fabricated steel grapple arms secure trees to control felling and are powered by dual cylinders (one per arm).
- Heavy duty blade carrier shear arms feature oversized chrome plated pivot pins with replaceable bushings.
- Bolt on guards protect hose lines and all hoses are wrapped with protective covering.
- Optional 24v electro-hydraulic diverter valve can be provided upon request for powering the rotator circuit.
- Optional 180 degree hydraulic rotator.
- Optional 60 degree hydraulic cylinder rotator.
